With all the hype in advertising today one becomes very cynical
about companies claims as regards to the products they sell, however
I would like to relate to you my situation regarding the use of
your product.
Firstly my vessel is a small 35ft yacht with a three cylinder raw
(salt) water cooled yanmar of about 1985 vintage (3GMD) these are
supposed to run at between 55 & 60 degs Celsius, this unit,
even though we had an engine rebuild 6 years ago has never run under
60 degs and recently we were having to run it a lower and lower
rpm as it was reaching 70 degs very rapidly - always emitted steam
when underway.
I initially plumbed in a pump and in fact the passages were obviously
that built up that initially when trying to circulate the product
the pump was building up so much pressure that it blew the hose
off the fitting. I then attached a hose to the inlet into the engine
head and filled this up as a header, so that the RYDLYME Marine
could seep its way through, after about an hour and a half I was
able to attach the pump to circulate the mixture through the whole
system, after about an hour of this I noticed the amp draw on the
pump had reduced and it was running a whole lot better. At this
stage I left the engine with the RYDLYME Marine overnight and this
morning went back and continued to circulate it for about half an
hour. Reconnected everything started up and the color of the muck
exhausted was amazing, left the dock and ran the engine at normal
cruising rpm and the temperature was 55 deg. At full throttle (after
about 45 mins) temperature climbed to 58 deg. The other pleasant
result is the refrigeration which is compressor driven and has its
heat exchanger plumbed into the engine raw water cooling system,
seems to be very much more efficient as well.
I had removed the thermostat which had quite a lot of build-up on
its surfaces, and if I needed any convincing after putting this
in the solution it started to fizz very rapidly and within half
an hour looked just like a new one. I new then I was on to something.
Well done on a great product which is exactly to your advertised
specifications, I will certainly be letting my cruising friends
know about this.
kind regards
